"Feed the Clumps"

Film: Quatermass 2 (1957)

Alias: None

Type: Alien

Location: Haunted Home

Height/Weight: Grow up to be the size of large buildings.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: The point of a takeover is more times than often so that others can do your chores for you. That and bow down to your every will. These aliens wanted food, and they were going to get it. But why eat humans when they can make the food for you?

History: Like any conqueror, these nomadic asteroid-travelling aliens couldn't be bothered to make their own food. So they landed on Earth and immediately started controlling the residents of the UK. Even the government is bowing down to their will. All that they ask is that they are fed a specific artificial "food" that's insanely toxic to the humans themselves. Now only one person can help stop them: good ol' Professor Bernard Quatermass himself!

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Upon growing to gigantic sizes, the aliens tear their facility asunder. Unfortunately, the atmosphere eventually causes them to collapse and die.

Powers/Abilities: The aliens can control the minds of lesser beings for miles. They can also combine with one another to grow to huge size.

Weakness: The Earth's atmosphere is toxic to them.

Scariness Factor: 3-Their designs are unremarkable and look like big manure piles at worst, but they did do a good job taking over the minds of just about all the higher ups at the UK.

Trivia: -This was one of the first films to use a 2 to indicate a sequel.

-The ending of the original serial this was based on ended with a confrontation in outer space. Aside from that, not much difference.

Way to portray the victim as the main threat, poster.

Forget the scar. Look at that hair!

Who's bright idea was it to hit the aliens with freaking SATURN!?
Looks like they got hit with the gold bug.

He got the logo stuck in his eye.

When the Trixie virus came along, these suits actually became useful.
Even the skies are outraged by this gluttony!

That head in the background is demonstrating the effects of watching too many hours of Jersey Shore. Low-brow, but true.
HEY! NO MAN LEFT BEHIND, GUYS!

I hate getting lost too.

Gluttony is quite a destructive sin.
